Annexx Clique

The Annexx Clique is a Baltimore rap crew best known for its role in shaping the city’s mid-1990s underground hip-hop scene. Anchored by emcees K-Mack and Silouette, with DJ Concrete handling production and mixtape duties, the group emerged as a raw, unapologetic voice of Charm City street rap. In retrospectives of Baltimore hip-hop history, The Annexx Clique is frequently cited as a classic underground act and, by some accounts, “Baltimore’s finest” of the era.

Rising during the mid-1990s local scene, The Annexx Clique built its reputation through gritty lyricism, regional pride, and DJ-driven releases that circulated heavily among tape traders and collectors. Their most well-known project, The Blue Tape, became a cult underground release and has since been preserved and reissued by labels such as Six2Six Records, helping introduce a new generation of listeners to Baltimore’s early independent rap legacy.

Tracks from The Blue Tape, including “In Baltimore” and “Do Or Die,” capture the group’s raw energy and city-centric identity, while releases like “Bring It On / The Annexx Clique” further cemented their place in local hip-hop history. In addition to officially released material, a number of DJ Concrete–presented EPs, unreleased cuts, and archival recordings continue to circulate among fans, collectors, and underground hip-hop historians, reinforcing the group’s lasting influence despite their limited mainstream exposure.
