Sistah Dee, born LaTasha Dee Smith, is a Baltimore-based hip-hop emcee, poet, and arts entrepreneur also known by her creative aliases “She Dandeelion” and “That Fire Butterfly.” A Baltimore native born in December 1977, she began her artistic journey in the early 1990s and has since built a respected presence within the city’s hip-hop and spoken-word communities. Her work often appears under the extended moniker Sistah Dee That Fire Butterfly aka She Dandeelion, reflecting the layered identities she brings to her art and performance.
